I thought the answer 'others'
until I sought within
Tear down the pretenses
expose the lies...
they're cellular now;
we've been coded
for victimization
Freedom is choice and voice
and active perseverance--
not reactive presumptive
excusing and procrastinating
It's a blow to the ego
to ascertain no one cares,
but the truth is a lubricant
for reality's equalizer;
we master our own destiny, alone.
